About
There is no better argument for Christ than the changed lives of his people
You can argue someone toward Christianity, and sometimes that works. But I've come to believe the strongest evidence isn't an argument at all, it's a life. A person who was genuinely one thing and genuinely became another. That kind of change is hard to explain away, and harder to forget.
This site is built around that conviction.
Easy to read ebooks
For centuries, people have written down how they were changed: conversions, testimonies, and the great defenses of the faith. Many of those books are in the public domain now, which usually means they read like it: walls of unbroken text, broken formatting, no care at all. We take those works and give them the edition they deserve. Clean, considered, a pleasure to read on a screen or in print. We sell them, and we link to a free source on every book's page, so you only pay if the care is worth it to you.
Vision
We really want to provide high-quality ebooks for real humans. All of these are in the public domain, so I will always link to free versions that you can go and read for free. I use AI to help build and maintain this site, but not to write the content that is actually read. It's easy to see and hard to ignore. That's why I made this site: more real words from real people.
Our Stance on Artificial Intelligence
I use AI to build out and maintain the site, but never the content. LLM-written content is really easy to spot and hard to ignore once you've seen it. But LLMs have been really useful in all kinds of applications of translation. This is one of the key use cases that they are designed for, and I do use them for that. There are interesting and exciting conversion stories that have not yet had an English translation from German, Urdu, and other languages. I will continue to use LLMs to bring these books to new readers so that they can learn from them as well. If you have any questions about that, or would like to give me feedback on any of these things, please let me know at tsbakerbooks@gmail.com.
